Nurturing Self-Care: Unpacking the Davroe Experience
Davroe’s commitment to self-care is not just about hair; it’s about empowering individuals to embrace their natural beauty confidently. Mary’s vision goes beyond creating products; it involves fostering a sense of well-being for everyone who interacts with the brand. From the formulation of products to their distribution, every step resonates with the ethos of self-love through using safe, natural and active ingredients to transform hair as well as transforming a person’s confidence.

An Inclusive Workplace: Where Diversity Thrives
Mary Centofanti’s influence extends beyond the formulations and into the workplace culture at Davroe. With a near 50/50 gender ratio, Davroe embodies inclusivity at the core of its foundations, a place where everyone can feel a sense of belonging. Mary has crafted an environment where talent flourishes, irrespective of gender, fostering a vibrant and collaborative workspace.
Q: Having led Davroe for over 40 years, you’ve fostered a workplace culture with a nearly equal gender ratio. In what ways has this inclusive environment contributed to the success and innovation within Davroe, especially on a day like International Women’s Day?
A: In the past most hair brands were male dominated selling to a female market, Dresslier has always been a bit unique in that we have always had a nearly equal gender ratio. We have always been, past and present, open to all genders filling positions in all departments of our company based on the right candidate for the position, whether that is in our laboratory, sales, warehouse or office.
Everyone has an opinion and ideas that we take on board in all aspects of the company and brands, it can make for some very robust conversations but that’s what makes it so appealing and successful. As a company, we are looking towards succession planning so it’s very exciting to me that we have all genders growing with the company and brands equally.
