When moving to Adelaide, I was completely unaware of the amazing things being produced here. Something I discovered pretty early on, was the hair care range from company Davroe. They work to produce low irritant hair care products, which are also kind to the environment.Another part of Davroe, which attracted me, was their rich and interesting history.
John Sloan, started the ‘Dresslier’ company back in 1930. The formulating chemist created traditional barber products right here in Adelaide in his small manufacturing plant. It wasn’t until the 1980’s that Dresslier developed the Davroe products, an innovative plant based range.
As a Makeup Artist I have learned many times over the years, how important hair care products are. So many are not kind at all to hair, let alone the impact they have on our precious environment. I personally have had scalp issues for many years, probably from using so many products on my hair and it reacting to their chemicals. It was only recently that the wonderful Mary who heads the company, suggested that I try some of the anti dandruff range, while we were working on a shoot together.
Only two weeks later, I saw and felt a dramatic change in my hair. Firstly the itchiness was gone and my hair felt more nourished, fuller even.
Not only do I adore these products, (of which I now have several Celebrity friends using), but I also love that they are from a natural source. Also they are not destroying our environment. By even taking a small step of just washing my hair, I can feel better about my impact.
Just some of the beautiful active ingredients included in their product range are: Australian Native Violet, Watercress and the Australian Lilly Pilly. So not only do they feel wonderful they smell divine!
The brand is launching a new site with an exciting and current look, which you will be able to read all about the brand and find the products with ease. Along with this new site, there will be a blog to catch up on all the latest Davroe news. And the company will be expanding their exposure in other countries.
So Davroe will soon become known Internationally for their exceptional products, which is a huge feat for a little old Adelaide brand.
I for one will sing their praises, because I love the company, people and products they offer. When you are onto a good thing, stick to it, as they say.
